Hi, I'm Mar. Welcome to God Got Me Tho.
Pull up a chair. I'm a millennial woman just trying to walk with God through real life. This is my little corner of the internet, and I'm really glad you're here.
Why "God Got Me Tho"?
I wanted a name that sounded like real life. Church doesn't have to feel stiff or serious. We're human, we're messy, and we can be playful with God. The name means exactly what it says: God got our backs.
Why I started this
I'm an introvert, and I'm a pretty private person. I've watched friends lead people to faith right in conversation, and I could never do that. Talking out loud just isn't my thing. So I found a quieter way to be part of it: writing, journals, and prayer ideas, all from behind my keyboard.
My story with anxiety
For a long time I felt like I was about to faint, multiple times a day. Panic attacks, heart racing, every single day. It got to the point where I couldn't leave the house. Groceries, public transport, even going to work felt impossible. For a whole year I worked from home. Somewhere in the middle of it, I started thanking God for things, even then. Then God brought me a psychiatrist, and slowly the worst of it lifted. I'm doing well now. God got me tho.
Who this is for
Maybe you're anxious, grieving, or worn out and need God's support right now. Maybe life is good at the moment and you don't want to take that for granted. Either way, you belong here. God is in the middle of all of it.
