Thank you for spending time at God Got Me Tho. This page explains, in plain words, what information I collect when you visit, why I collect it, who helps me handle it, and what choices you have. If anything here is unclear, write to me at info@godgotmetho.com and I’ll gladly explain.
Who I am
God Got Me Tho (godgotmetho.com) is run by Mar, based in the Czech Republic (RN: 14334861). I’m the one responsible for your personal information on this site (the “data controller” under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR).

What I collect and why
When you contact me. If you use the contact form, you share your name or nickname, your email address, and your message. I use these only to read and reply to you. The form is run by WPForms, and your message is sent to my email inbox. I keep messages only as long as I need them to help you, and no longer than two years.
When you sign up for the free devotional or my emails. If you join my email list, I collect your name and email address so I can send you the free devotional and occasional emails with new posts, encouragement, and products. You’ll be asked to confirm your subscription by email, and every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. My email list is managed by Kit (kit.com). I keep your details until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.
When you buy something. Purchases are handled through secure checkout services: SureCart, which runs the shop on this website, and/or Payhip. Payments are processed by trusted payment providers such as Stripe or PayPal, so I never see or store your full card details. I receive your name, email address, what you bought, and when, so I can deliver your download, support you, and keep the records Czech tax and accounting laws require for as long as those laws require.
When you browse the site. With your permission, I use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which pages are helpful, which country visitors come from, and how they found the site (for example, through Pinterest or Google search). This helps me write more of what actually serves you. Google Analytics only runs if you click “Accept” on the cookie banner. If you decline, it doesn’t set analytics cookies, though Google may receive basic cookie-free signals that don’t identify you (this is called Google Consent Mode).
When you watch an embedded video. Some posts may include YouTube videos. YouTube may set its own cookies when a video loads, so these videos are also covered by your cookie choices.
Your cookie choice itself. The cookie banner (SureCookie) records your choice, the date and time, your approximate country, and a shortened version of your IP address. I keep this record to show that your choice was respected.
Cookies
Cookies are small files your browser stores when you visit a website. This site uses a few:
- Essential cookies keep the site working, remember your cookie choice, and keep your shopping cart and checkout working. These don’t need consent.
- Analytics cookies (Google Analytics) help me understand how the site is used. These only run if you accept them.
- Marketing/embed cookies (such as YouTube) only load if you accept them.
You can change your mind any time by clicking the cookie settings link or icon on the site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.
The legal reasons I use your information
Under the GDPR, I need a legal reason to use your personal information. Here’s which one applies:
- Your consent: analytics cookies, embedded content, and my email list. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Replying to your request: answering your contact form message.
- A contract with you: processing and delivering your purchase.
- Legal obligations: keeping purchase records for tax and accounting.
- Legitimate interest: keeping the website secure and working properly.
Who helps me handle your information
I don’t sell your personal information, and I never will. I only share it with the services that help me run this site:
- Hostinger: hosts this website and my email.
- Google (Analytics, Site Kit): visitor statistics, only with your consent.
- Kit: my email list and the free devotional.
- SureCart and/or Payhip: the shop, checkout, and download delivery.
- Stripe and/or PayPal: secure payment processing.
- WPForms: the contact form.
- SureCookie: the cookie banner and consent records.
- YouTube: embedded videos, only with your consent.
Some of these companies, such as Google and Kit, are based in the United States or process data outside the EU. When that happens, they rely on legal safeguards approved by the EU, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your information.
Your rights
Because I’m based in the EU, you have these rights no matter where you live:
- to see what personal information I have about you
- to correct anything that’s wrong
- to delete your information
- to limit or object to how I use it
- to receive a copy of your information to take elsewhere
- to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before

If you ever have a concern about how your information is handled, please write to me first at info@godgotmetho.com. I’ll do my best to make it right. You also have the right to contact a data protection authority.

Everyone is welcome to read God Got Me Tho and shop here. If you’re under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before signing up for my emails or sending a message through the contact form. I don’t knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has shared their information here, please let me know and I’ll delete it.
Keeping your information safe
I use trusted services, secure connections (HTTPS), and strong passwords to protect your information. No website can promise perfect security, but I take care with what you trust me with.
Changes to this policy
If I add new tools (for example, ads or affiliate links) or change how I handle information, I’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date at the top.
